2016 Summer Camp Home


June 6-10
Little Critters 9am-12pm
 Preschoolers will explore the world around them by creating little animal creations. Campers will use clay, explore paint, collage and more to make their animal master pieces! 

June 6-10 - 
Masterpieces! - 9am-12pm
Campers will be learning from the greats in this session! Go through history and use techniques made famous by the impressionists, pop artists and more. Campers will make their own unique masterpieces fit for the Louvre! 

Exploring Public Art  - 1pm-4pm
Share your creativity with the world! Campers will create unique designs and see them become part of their environment. The camp instructor will guide artists in creating murals, and mosaics. 

June 13-17 - 
Itty Bitties - 9am-12pm
 Get out the magnifying glass! Campers will go small scale in this class creating tiny treasures. They will work in clay, paint little stones, and make other itty bitty creations. 

Around the World  - 1pm-4pm
Travel the world through art in this exciting camp! Campers will explore rich art traditions from cultures throughout the world and create their own masterpieces. Art works will be created in painting, collage, and sculpture.

June 20-24 - 
Outer Limits - 9am-12pm
Campers will use the night sky as inspiration in this camp. Stars, rockets and more will be a part of camper's creations as they make collages, paintings and sculptures that reflect the sky above us. 

Mix it Up  - 1pm-4pm
This camp is all about fun with mixing materials! Campers will learn about the collage technique of adhering paper as well as other methods and sculptural processes to make truly unique art work. 

June 27 -July 1-  K-6
 Under the Sea - 9am-12pm
Dive in to this fun camp! Campers will look at life under the sea and be inspired by jellyfish, dolphins, starfish, and more. Under the sea creations will be made using real life shells as well as more traditional materials to make aquatic 2D and 3D creations. 

Clay Creations - 1pm-4pm
Play with clay in this camp! Participants will explore clay projects and learn from a variety of techniques from coil building, to stamping, and more. 

July 11-15-  K-6

Super Heroes - 9am-12pm
In this camp kids will explore all aspects of creating and becoming super heroes. From costumes to comics, campers will try out a variety of mediums and techniques. Lichtenstein and Warhol will serve as studies for this camp full of pop art and superpowers. 

Dinosaurs! - 1pm-4pm
Campers will go back in time to the days when dinosaurs ruled the earth! Exciting art projects will be all about dinosaurs. Projects will be constructed in both 2D and 3D. 

July 18-22
 - Grades K-6
Outdoor Inspiration -9am-12pm
Campers will take advantage of Summer and take their inspiration from the great outdoors. Trees, rocks, rivers and fields will all be represented in the fun art works that campers will create using a variety of mediums. 

Masks and More -1pm-4pm
Decorating and adorning the human body has been a part of life since the beginning of time. Campers will explore body decoration from masks, to jewelry making. This camp will explore ancient techniques like henna designs from India. 

July 18-22
 - Grades 5-12 
The Human Form -1pm-4pm
This intensive camp is a chance to perfect your drawing skills. Campers will learn the art of creating a person on paper, from a break down of the human face to understanding how to represent the body. Campers will create masterful portraits!

All Camps meet Monday - Friday
Choose a time:
  • a Half Day:  9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm 
  • or Full Day: 9am-4pm (includes lunch bunch)


If you are not doing the full day camp, but need an extra hour, you may add on our lunch bunch option. $5 per day Please bring a bagged lunch.
*Please note: the lunch bunch option has already been added to all full day 


  • HALF DAY: $75 members, $95 non member
  • FULL DAY: $150 members, $190 non-member


  • $5 sibling discount when more than one child is signed up for the same camp.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all camps. Payment must be made at time of registration to ensure your spot. We reserve  the right to cancel due to low enrollment. Scholarships to some camps are available. Just ask!


Do you provide snacks? 
We break for snacks during each session. The art center provides snacks. If your child has an allergy please provide a snack for them each day. 

Do you provide lunch? 
We do not provide lunch during the lunch hour. Please provide a nutritious lunch for your child if they are here all day or for lunch bunch.

What should my child wear? 
Art is messy! Please send them in clothing and shoes that are appropriate. 

Can my teen volunteer? 
Yes! We would love to have teen volunteers in each of our camps. Ask us how to apply! We do have one camp week especially for this group of kids too. 

What about other volunteers and internships? 
We are looking for camp volunteers of all ages and have volunteer opportunities all year long. We also can provide internships and service learning credits for college and some high school students.
